Taiko & Gamelan

The Taiko and Gamelan project is a collaborative work in progress between Humber Taiko, Hull Arts Development Team for Hull City of Culture 2017, York University and NEL Music Hub.

The project is still in its early stages, following a research and development day in York we put together a short performance for the Leeds Gamelan Concert in which we fused an exisitng Taiko song, 'Fearless' by Jonathan Kirby with a traditional Gamelan piece - watch it HERE.

We've already began creating new work which we hope to premiere in summer 2016.
