Rhythms of the Sea
2024 marks the 10th anniversary of our Obon style Taiko piece, Follow The Fishing which is a community written drumming, dance and music piece celebrating our fishing heritage and relationship with the sea.
Rhythms of the Sea will explore these themes and look at other creative approaches to fishing, the sea and celebrating local heritage - inspired by Japanese Taiko drumming and other Japanese art forms combined with traditional English music and art.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Our big picture and Coritani Creative to bring this project to life.
A huge thank you to Creates NEL and North East Lincolnshire Council for supporting this project. Supported using public funding by Arts Council England, thanks to National Lottery players.
